CRM Contacts — Your Centralized Contact Database

Learn how to manage, import, segment, and score your contacts in MartechAI's centralized CRM database. Track every interaction across email, forms, deals, and campaigns.

MartechAI’s CRM Contacts serves as your central hub for managing every person your business interacts with. Whether you’re importing from external sources, manually adding leads, or letting the platform automatically capture contacts through forms and landing pages — everything flows into Contacts.

Contact Management at Scale

The Contacts view gives you a powerful, filterable table of every contact in your database. Each row shows key fields like name, email, company, job title, phone, tags, and the date they were created. You can sort by any column, search across all fields, and apply complex filters to narrow down exactly who you need to reach.

Every contact has a detailed profile page that tracks their full history — every email they’ve opened, every form they’ve submitted, every sequence they’re enrolled in, and every deal they’re associated with. The activity timeline gives you a chronological view of every interaction, from website visits to campaign responses.

Importing Contacts

Getting your existing contacts into MartechAI is straightforward. Click the Import button and upload a CSV file. The platform automatically maps standard fields (First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Company) and lets you map custom columns to any custom field you’ve created. You can also import contacts directly from connected integrations like Google Contacts, HubSpot, or Salesforce.

Custom Fields & Data Enrichment

Every business tracks contacts differently. MartechAI lets you create unlimited custom fields — text, number, date, dropdown, multi-select, and more. These fields appear on contact profiles, can be used in segmentation rules, and are available as merge tags in email templates. The platform also enriches contacts automatically by pulling company details, social profiles, and industry data from public sources.

Data Quality & Duplicate Management

The built-in data quality scanner flags contacts with missing required fields, invalid emails, or potential duplicates. Click on any quality alert to review and fix the issue directly. The duplicate detector intelligently matches contacts by email, name similarity, and phone number, letting you merge duplicates while preserving all activity history from both records.

Lists & Segmentation

Contacts can be organized into lists manually or automatically through segmentation rules. Create a list for “Newsletter Subscribers,” add a rule that automatically includes anyone who submits your newsletter form, and the list stays current without manual effort. Lists feed directly into email campaigns, sequences, and audience targeting for ads and social campaigns.

Contact Scoring

Assign point values to behaviors — opening an email (+5), clicking a link (+10), visiting your pricing page (+20), submitting a demo request (+50). The scoring engine automatically calculates each contact’s engagement score, helping your sales team focus on the hottest leads first. Score thresholds can automatically trigger sequence enrollment or deal creation.
