1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixels — serve comparable purposes. This Cookie Policy explains how Derail Logic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses these technologies on the marketing website at derail-logic.com and within the MartechAI platform at app.derail-logic.com.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our services, understand how visitors use our marketing site, remember your preferences, and — where you consent — enable analytics. We do not sell cookie data to third parties.
3. Cookie Categories
3.1 Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the website and platform to function. They enable core features such as security, session management, and load balancing. Because they are essential, they cannot be disabled through our cookie banner.
- Session management: maintains your browsing session and protects against cross-site request forgery (CSRF).
- Authentication (platform): JWT access and refresh tokens stored in localStorage keep you signed in to MartechAI.
- Cookie consent state: records your cookie preference choice so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
3.2 Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our marketing website — which pages are viewed, how long users stay, and where traffic originates. This information is aggregated and used to improve the site experience.
- Google Analytics 4 (G-Y5V64FV3T7): first-party cookies including
_gaand_ga_*. IP addresses are anonymized. Analytics storage is denied by default until you accept cookies via our consent banner.
3.3 Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies are used for advertising, remarketing, and measuring ad campaign effectiveness. We have reserved this category for future use and do not currently deploy third-party advertising or remarketing cookies on derail-logic.com.
4. Marketing Website (derail-logic.com)
When you visit our marketing website, a cookie consent banner appears if you have not previously made a choice. You can:
- Accept All: enables necessary, analytics, and marketing cookies (marketing is currently inactive).
- Necessary Only: enables only essential cookies; analytics and marketing remain disabled.
- Customize: choose analytics and marketing categories individually before saving your preferences.
Your preferences are stored in localStorage under cookie-consent and cookie-preferences and are honored on subsequent visits. You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser or contacting us.
5. MartechAI Platform (app.derail-logic.com)
The authenticated MartechAI application uses necessary cookies and localStorage entries for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies within the authenticated application.
Platform usage data is processed according to our Privacy Policy and is not shared with advertising networks for remarketing purposes.
6. Embedded MartechAI Forms
When you embed a MartechAI form on your own website using our form-embed.js script, the Form.io rendering library loads from cdn.form.io. Form.io may set its own cookies on your visitors' browsers. The embed script also captures UTM parameters and referrer information for marketing attribution within your MartechAI workspace.
If you embed MartechAI forms, you are responsible for providing appropriate cookie and privacy notices to your website visitors and obtaining consent where required by applicable law.
7. Third-Party Cookies
Some third-party services integrated with our platform may set their own cookies when you connect those services or interact with embedded content. These include:
- Google Analytics: when analytics cookies are accepted on the marketing site.
- Form.io: when MartechAI forms are embedded on external websites.
- OAuth providers: during authentication flows for connected integrations (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
Each third party's use of cookies is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. We encourage you to review those policies when using connected services.
8. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete existing cookies. Note that blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of our website or platform from functioning correctly.
For browser-specific instructions, consult your browser's help documentation (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated through the website or via email where appropriate. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
