Who We Are
At Derail Logic, we’ve spent the last decade working together as a digital marketing agency, carving out a name for ourselves as marketing experts. But we didn’t start that way…
How It All Started
We began our digital-marketing journey as a bunch of bright-eyed nerd herders who didn’t want “real” jobs. We started by being the “guys” people refer to when they say “I know a guy” for all things technology. This led to us primarily fixing computers, installing networks, designing home theaters, and the occasional small business website design while kicking off our career as an entry level Marketeer. We were the Jack-of-all-trades digital tech agency…we even found ourselves offering end-user IT support (the ones that speak English).
How We Became Marketing Geniuses
While decompressing over a fireside chat, we kept asking ourselves – “How can we utilize our experience in IT and our experience from our marketing day jobs and actually make a difference?”

The deeper we got into marketing, the more complex it became, and the geekier we needed to be. Being able to speak tech AND marketing put us in a unique position to truly be able to make an impact with small businesses within our community. It’s been an interesting journey with a few twists and turns but we have truly loved working with so many different companies that’ve inspired us to become the business we are today.
All the services we offer are done in-house by our very own Derailed Geeks. We don’t believe in outsourcing and have been burned too many times by the traditional “marketing agencies.” We have a very unique way of working together, and with the endless changes in web and search, we can’t risk our clients’ sites with anyone other than a Derailed Geek.

We’ve created a team of people who believe passion and enthusiasm for what you do should come before anything else, and that creating a life you love shouldn’t be held back by the constraints of a job you don’t believe in. That’s just one of the reasons we all work so well together!
We’ve discovered this freedom delivers unbelievable results. When you create a team with the same beliefs about work and life, you create a business that’s full of creativity, passion, and plenty of fresh perspectives. This doesn’t mean we don’t take our work seriously…it means we live by our philosophy!
